Apply for our 3 week paid training program!

• NO HOTEL EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

• Paid 3 week training at $21/hr. 

• Classroom training at San Diego College of Continuing Education, covering the following curriculum:

• Food Handler Certification

• Safety/OSHA training

• Interviewing Skills/Resume 

• Soft Skills/Customer Service Skills

• On the job training is provided at a unionized hotel partner for 2 weeks. Participants then have the chance to interview with hotel for employment after completion of the full 3 week program

  If accepted into the program, it is likely that you will be assigned to one of the following positions below-- please carefully read the physical demands for each:

  • Room Attendant: On your feet most of the day, pulling carts (100lbs+), pushing carts (100lbs+), bending, lifting, making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning rooms/bathrooms. 

  • Kitchen Steward: On your feet most of the day, pulling carts (100lbs - 200lbs), pushing carts (100lbs - 200lbs), bending, lifting, making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning/sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils.

We have partnered with San Diego College of Continuing Education Foundation and union hotels to offer a paid, three-week training designed for people who want to start a career in the hospitality industry. You will spend the first week of training in a classroom setting; the second and third week will be on the job training with one of our hotel partners.
